The test clearly identifies an individual’s level of proficiency using listening, reading, writing and speaking tests.
At Navitas Professional, we provide two versions of IELTS online English test preparation:
- Academic (individuals applying for higher education or professional registration)
- General (individuals migrating or applying for secondary education, training programmes and work experience in an English-speaking environment)
Both versions provide a valid and accurate assessment of the four language skills: Listening, reading, writing and speaking.
The IELTS test is highly regarded and accepted in countries around the world including Australia, Canada and the UK.

There are a variety of official tests which are accepted as proof of English language competency. For academic and immigration purposes IELTS, PTE and CAE results are commonly accepted results. However, for employers, the Cambridge Business Language Testing Service (BULATS) provides a more meaningful assessment of a candidate’s workplace language skills.
Employers around the world use BULATS results to help them assess the language ability of job applicants quickly and accurately and identify candidates with the right language skills for advertised positions.
BULATS results are accompanied by a ‘Summary of Typical Candidate Abilities’, which highlights the business language competencies that candidates at each level can be expected to demonstrate. For example:
BULATS ‘Ability’ summaries provide employers with real-world applications of your language skills in reading, listening, speaking and writing, helping them to match your skills to position descriptions and key selection criteria.
Navitas Professional is the only Professional Year provider authorised to deliver the BULATS testing in all seven sites.
By providing our students with the opportunity to train and sit for the BULATS test, we are ensuring our graduates have meaningful proof of their business language skills that will help them stand out from the competition to future employers both in Australia and globally.
